Question Price for 94 turbo

Guys & Gals -

I may have the opportunity to pick up a 94 turbo sedan for $5500. According to Edmund's, this is a good price. It has 76K on it. I think it has been wrecked, but I am unsure of whether or not it is a salvage title. Also, this will be a project car for me. Does anyone here have one? If so, what do you think of it? Thanks.

Before you buy the car just take the title in and do a records check to see if it was ever written off as a total loss. Also take it to a nuetral 3rd party for a inspection. It may cost you $50-$100 but it just may save you some frustration later on if there are things they don't tell you about.

Yep, it is a five speed. I wouldn't consider a slushbox.

Definitely get it checked out. I was looking for one before I bought my RS and every time I found one that sounded good it had been wrecked. If it is good it would make an awesome sleeper car. 250-275 hp is possible from the motor and the transmission is pretty much "bullet proof".
