Talking BPM MKiii turbo-back exhaust INSTALLED!

With all the great advice people posted, the exhaust install went fairly smooth. My brother and I knocked it out in a few hours (taking our time).

The MKiii is not for the squeamish. The muffler is 3 chambers with these twisted pieces in them...no real packing at all like every other muffler I have used before. Even with the 'silencer', which is just one more twisted piece that goes in the tip at the end, it's deep and loud.

But spool up is instant now. You can hear the turbo whine as soon as you hit throttle, and the sound this exhaust makes above 4K sounds like a race Porsche. Or a Ducati on crack...

It WILL get you noticed. But this exhaust is absolutely beautiful looking. And it's all function.

Will have pics and video soon on our site (Steve videotaped me testing it out after the install). Hopefully we can rip down some small vids for those interested.

Question: Does the full system allow placement for the O2 sensor?

Yup I have the same and no CEL

Good job Kev.

Have someone drive it while you stand behind, have them floor it. Check out how loud it is.

Driven about 100 miles on the exhaust. No words can describe the sound and performance of this exhaust. It's unlike anything I have heard on a car in person before.

It's VERY deep and throaty. There is no packing in the 'muffler'. It's 3 seperate chambers, each with these twisty pieces which slow down the sound. It IS loud...but not droney at ALL! Hard to explain. But on the highway at 70 mph cruise, you can whisper to your passenger and they can hear you (unlike the full 3" exhaust on my Laser, which was VERY droney).

The exhaust was so nice out of the box, I wanted to display it on the wall! Too nice to mount under any car for no eyes to see Hehehe

Only problem I had was one of the 3 rear hanger bolts had too small thread to actually screw into the muffler (therefore, you can't use the rubber hanger mount). I still don't get any hitting at ALL, plenty of clearance. The heat sheilds underneath do a very slight rattle sometimes when idling and standing outside of the car, but that's from the deep sound coming from the exhaust, not contacting (we checked).

Even the new Mrs. didn't complain about the sound! SWEET!

SteveS has video, hopefully he can get time to rip some vids for the site. Keep you posted.
