Default Need to replace rotors and pads, how are these?

Was thinking about getting the Hawk Cermaic pads and the Bermbo Slotted Rotor

What are you opinions? I don`t have crazy amounts of cash and I`d like something a little better then stock performence, and rotors that wont warp (i`m always warping stock rotors and all my cars).

Thanks.

Good choice for replacments. I have Hawk HPS and regular Brembo replacements on the front of my wagon and really like them. I could not justify the additional cost of the slotted rotors so went with the plain. I am also putting the HPS all around on my miata. Could you be overtorquing the lugs and causing premature warping? Make sure the pads are bedded properly after install.

I wish I went with the Ceramics. I have the regular Hawk HPS on PowerSlot slotted rotors and they are not very responsive when cold. Even on a warm day you have to get them warmed up a bit for them to bite satisfactorily. Could be other issues with my brake system, but I doubt it.

Anyway, save your money and get the regular rotors. Unless you're tracking, slotted/drilled rotors are a waste of money. I only got the slotted because I got a great package deal from a vendor here on the forums.

I highly recommend you go over to the Vendor forums on here and ask some of the brake vendors for prices, you can get great deals that should be well below TireRack.

Could it be that the problem is not the rotors, but the person using them improperly?

As the others said, save your money and just get plain Brembo rotors. The slotted rotors really won't do anything for you.
