STOCK turbo sti - 2 back to back 12.4@109+!!!!

2night at etown i ran 2 back to back 12.4s@109+ mph. only change from last time was adding an smc kit and 100% meth. i predicted a 109-110 trap and i knew it had it in it! car didnt feel as strong as on the street, infact the et's shocked me.

first off thanks to dave at metric for everything, you are the man!! i drove 110+ miles ea way layed down 2 12.4s and drove home. car is running tits! car is running conservative right now believe it or not, def more in it. afrs are only around 11.2-3 to 1 uptop. we are going to the dyno to see what kind of numbers im putting down and a retune, so keep tuned! FYI this car was only road tuned w/ a wideband.

too bad etown was swamped 2night and they let the unmuffled pro cars run b4 us 2x. i got there at 6:30 got 2 passes in 3 hours and went to dennys and ate a chicken fried steak

next up im doing a hks evc ez or prodrive solenoid to help hold target boost better and i want to get new gruppe-s headers coated, my uppipe and stock turbo heatshield coated as well. i know the car has a 12.3 or better in it! wish i would have got another pass in. maybe ewg vf39?!?! only time will tell!!

here i have a pump gas dyno map uncorrected, sae/5 it made 294whp/332wtq on a dynojet (www.pampenamotorsports.com), 304/343 uncorrected. my sti stock did 239/237 sae/5.

best time on the pump tune was 12.71@106.35. i bet the car is 320/360 now easy.

12.23@113.?? by horshack, but no slip was produced. (some people even say it was done on a vf34, but no one knows cept him) in fact on my list there is no one trapping over 110, and he trapped a 113+ thats nuts! technically im the fatest on my list w/ a timeslip. but to say im the fastest stock turbo would be a lie, im sure there are guys who dont even post on here that are faster!

but i will for the time being until slips surface, say i am the fastest let me have my 15 minutes!

You still probably be one of the quickest I suppose
And I just find trapping 113mph on vf39 w/o NO2 is hardly believable...

I trapped 110 mph+ on a stock turbo with alot less mods. 12.55ET IIRC about 2 years ago.


TBE and a tuned EM...Thats it..nothin else...no turbo mods..no SMC.. no intercooler blah blah blah.


I dumped the vf39 like a fat girl...as i didn't think there was much to be had beating on a car just to get another .1-.2 from a already overly worked undersized turbo...thats how motors blow

yea i have you on the list...the only car to trap 110! you stated u ran c16 on that 12.55 pass. so i would def say c16 is better than meth goes to show you though, im reaching the limits of the stocker, heh 2 years later!! i do have a few tricks up my sleeve!

i actually think i could run better w/ the tmic but im eventually upgrading the turbo to an external 20g. so im setting some ground work!

That's a great trap speed for stg 2 mods. What psi were you running for that trap speed?

At the time ( 2 years ago) the car made good whp...but by todays higher standards my car on c16 makes less whp on the same dyno then cars running 100 octane....Go figure

To calculate from whp to hp is easy. Say our car's drivetrain loss is 20% (just for instance), which is 0.2, then you use 1-0.2=0.8
Use your whp # divided by 0.8=crank hp.
As far as 12's possible or not, there are so many factors come into play, with driver's capability comes first, second most important factors is the tune.

First off congrats great job, Dave is the main tuner for our Suby clubs and does great work. I was wondering did Dave tune your car with the meth? If so or not at what Psi or rpm does it come on and ramp up to? I think I saw your SMC kit when I was there looked like a stg1....was that your setup. I believe Dave has done 2 cars now with meth and mine should be the 3rd with the SNOW stg 3 setup. Any details you can add to your reply about your Meth setup will be extremely appreciated!!! v8; as far as i know i am the only car dave tuned w/ meth yet. i know there are a few guys waiting to get tuned. my kit starts spraying at 10psi and ramps till redline.

opposite; your car was my inspiration! seeing your sick times got the blood flowing i had to best the 12.6 anyway i could!
