Default EGT's on the Rise... ?

Hi guys. It's been pretty cold up here for the past couple of days.. and my EGT's are going up and up and up. Is this normal? When things were warmer at wide open throttle it would never go over 800 C. Now it's going 900 C and up but I shut down whenever i see it approach those numbers. Is this because my EGT probe is colder or something? HELP!

5 PSI on T3 turbo .64 trim, Intercooled, 99 using an AFC and not much else till I get a real ECU.

watch your fuel pressure, this is what happened to 8complex's car....#4 injector was starting to clog making the EGT's Very irratic...ended up[ full clogging under boost and detonating a piston.

Jeremy

Oh yeah you guys are prolly already runnign winter blend gas which has more ethanol in it which burns hotter.

Thanks.. the fuel pressure appears to be okay.. but the temps rise very quickly when I'm on the throttle.. I'll fill up today and see if there's any change. I guess if it's the injector problem I need to try some fuel injector cleaner?

If you are using the stock ecu with a 2.5 engine the timing might be too high when you get to the upper boost and rpm levels. this could cause some of the heat problems,
Where do you have the EGT sensor?
You said fuel pressure isn't a problem, do you know what kind of pressure you are running? What injectors?

Let me know when you want an standalone ECU. Haltech is only $1300.

I thought timing retard caused EGT's to go up?

I have the sender about an inch away from #3 outlet.

Fuel pressure when off boost is just over 40, at 5 psi it creeps up to somewhere between 50 and 60 psi.

I am running the stock injectors right now, I had 550cc's on order but I'm starting to think they will never come from this vendor.

I am considering all kinds of ECU/Injectors right now, so please e-mail me with info on what you can provide. I've looked into the Wolf 3D system, TEC II system, SDS, and Link so far. I'll do some research on Haltech today. I'm looking for a system to control boost, larger injectors, and be able to run close to 8-10psi daily on my T3 (unless it proves to be too much of a restriction).

i can get you the Haltech if thats what you go with, i even have maps for them. I am making a in-car cpu that you would be able to tune while you are in the car. Its just like a laptop, but the screen will be detatched and the keyboard will be very small.
Are the 550cc injectors a side feed style?
do you know what size the stock injectors are?

I'm pretty sure the stock injectors are 280 cc. Not sure what the fuel rail is.
