Default Changing transmission fluid with AT WRX

I have read a number of the threads discussing changing the trans. fluid and front differential fluids. In these I have seen recommendations for how to change it as well as what type(s) of fluids are recommended.

I have been unable to find this type of information for an Automatic transmission car. I know that transmission fluids are definitely different for Autos and Manuals, but I wasn't sure what the final word on the WRX is.

I have an '03 and would like to change out the tranny and front diff. fluid but I wanted to make sure I am using the proper fluids and performing the change properly. Any help / advice would be appreciated.

I did not do it myself (dealer did with my fluids) but did lots of reserch and I ended up using AMSOIL AT Fluid. I have actually noticed the car shift smoother.

What is the fluid capacity? How many quarts will I need to buy?

I know the AT fluid is separate from the front differential fluid so I am sure about fluid capacities as well. I want to make sure I have enough of each before I start draining them. Any help would be appreciated as well as a possible source for this information.

I have a MT so I can't help you, but your owner's manual is a GOOD source for this information.

it depends on if you are doing a complete flush or not. Just a drain and refill should be about 4-5qt.
