Legacy Need some spec's for 95 Legacy L wagon

95 Legacy I am swapping the transmission from a 95 Legacy L wagon into a 92 SVX and need some spec's. How much tranny fluid does this tranny use, and what is the gear ratio for this transmission.
Thanks for the help.
Drive fast, drive safe.

Manual (AWD) 4.2 quarts.
Auto 8.3 quarts.
FYI our 95 5 spd started making a bearing noise at around 90k miles. Now at 120k it's a bit worse but we're still using it almost daily.

are you sure that the auto takes 8.3 quarts? my owner's manual says that the capacity is 8.3 quarts, but to only use 4.2 quarts on the auto.

I've always heard the large number for an automatic.

yeah that's the thing, i only put 4.3 quarts in the last time, and the stick read fine. i even checked it like 4 times just to be sure!

and come to think of it, when i drained the old oil out, only 4 quarts came out. so either i somehow lost half the oil in the tranny, or that's all that was in there.
