Arrow something this small can kill an engine

I finally got a shot of my bad #4 "B" piston. notice how small the chip is. but, it was enough to make a horrible piston slap sound and I didn;t drive the car. For comparison, look at the size of the valve relief. I'm sure I could have with such a small chip but better safe than sorry. anyway, just thought I'd let you know what can stop you dead in the water. it's amazing isn;t it

that's nothing compared to the piston we pulled out of 8's car.

Did it take out the turbo as well??

you'll get SUPER lucky if there was no damage done to the head or to the turbo.

Foreign Object Damage/Debris. A term more common in aviation when dealing with things like nuts, bolts, birds fouling engines.
