Default I Want A Quiet Exhaust!

Serious guys. Look. I LOVE the sound of the Subaru, especially MY exhaust system. But, I would like to experience my sound system without resonant noise from my exhaust. Anyone trying to get rid of a Borla Hush or something similar? It has to match up to my 3" DP, and I would consider a trade.

The Greddy EVO/EVO2 is very quiet and has a clean look too. Highly recommended if you can find one...

Quiet with looks, performance and JDM flair? Fujitsobo! with no cats it is as quiet as the Sti stock and makes absolutly no noise on the highway. Just wind noise is all you hear.

Fujitsobo is quieter and looks better. I had them both. Both are good but the Greddy is a little respier the Fujitsobo has a quieter sound. Some do not like it some love it. I did not like the Greddy in the car sound really. To each his own though. TXS is mrly a flowmaster. Not THAT quiet. There is a thread by unibomber that has a spreadsheet of almost all exhausts that he measured. Check in to it.

u puss - strip the interior, including the sound system and listen to the beautiful music your car makes naturally!

tanabe's medalion touring exhaust is really quiet (under 93db i think) and still retains that boxer rumble.

i installed it on my buddy's car after he switched over from an evo2. although it was super quiet, he still got ticketed in the OC because of the melon shooter look. go figure.

-mike

here are a couple clips from the tanabe website. i had my own clips, but i cant find them at the moment.
Outside car no load:
http://www.tanabe-usa.com/soundclips/stitour_out.wmv

inside car no load:
http://www.tanabe-usa.com/soundclips/stitour_in.wmv

driving car under load:

of course they sound better in person:

Right now, I have the Espelir JGT500 catback, and a PDE catless dp. I'm getting really tired of the drone when i drive on the freeway (almost everyday), and ive gotten a few exhaust tickets since ive had it on.

and im pretty sure the dirty looks my neighbors give me when i drive by means they love that awesome boxer rumble in the wee hours of the morning.

anyone want to buy my catback?
im trying to get that medalion touring exhaust.

Let me know if you want a quote on the tanebe I recommended the medalian touring over the SMR with silencer! We have a SMR on our wrx and a SMT on our evo!

I cannot stand the drone! so the SMT is perfect! Thanks kevin
