Default OT Collectors: Should I keep them or sell them?

I started collecting them back in the early/mid 90s, before Ebay really existed. Now it seems that stuff hasn't really risen in value 10 years later, as anyone can buy/sell easily on Ebay. They're taking up quite a bit of room in storage, and I'm wondering if I should just sell them at cost or maybe a tiny profit and move on. They have zero nostalgic value, I bought them thinking that I could turn around and sell them down the road for windfall profits.

I have many uniques and errored cards, and all are MOMC or MIMB and have been kept air tight since purchased. Pics below:

Unless you think holding on to them for 50 years and basically get only inflationary returns is worth it, I would just sell them now. You never know though

Yeah, I think that my delusion of making any money from this investment has come to an end.

Ebay or local comic book type shops?

Negative they are going for nothing now... Wait it out. I have a collection sitting in my room too now worth nothing. I checked ebay and none of them are selling

Sell it (if you need the space)... Only the original stuff seems to go up in value (then again, maybe your stuff will too 20 years from now).

One downside to SW's stuff is the fact that there will be no more new movies. Every time a new movie came out......the old stuff would shoot up in value. Maybe it will happen again when Mr. Lucas releases whatever revised versions he decides to spit out a decade from now.

Looking over the collection the only thing that would have been worth anything is the Orange POTF collection and it doesnt even look like you have a Princess Leia. The green POTF were re-releases of the Orange backed cards now with fancy holograms..

I sounds like the fat comic guy

Wish my originals were still boxed and not missing limbs. Damn me when I was a kid and actually played with my toys.

Sell them now on ebay for pennies and immediately invest that money into a share of the riskiest stock you can find.

If it works out well, you will have a lot more money in 20 years than if you had kep them. And if it doesn't work out, you won't have to haul around nerdy **** for 20 years. Win/win

Too many people had the same idea you did. "Buy now and sell in 10 yrs." Fleabay is flooded with all kinds of stuff like this. If you have any REALLY RARE items check for the going rate. You might get lucky, but I doubt it.

Your best bet is to pack it up well and store it for another 30 years.
