Unhappy Busted Hand Brake In My Legacy Outback

i dont know what happened the but the button on it just fell out . . . anyone else have this problem? also how do i fix it? (keep in mind i dont know much about cars).

I've heard of this before on other legacy lists.

Basically the plastic release button just sort of shoots out (it is spring loaded) and you can pop it back in or if that fails, go to the dealer and get a whole new e-brake handle assembly.

i went to the dealer a while ago about it but it was pretty damn expensive for them to fix it. so after i find the little button(its around here some where) i will try putting it back in.


BTW: its a MY97 if that makes a difference
