I lost power this time

270whp/248torque at 19psi.

Mods are the same except now I'm running a Tial 38mm ewg and a big top mount. Not sure if not changing my spark plugs have to do with anything or I was heatsoaking really bad on the dyno.

i can't wait to start making some power, i've been playing with the OpenECU software and felt like i was getting somewhere and then bam, my LM-1 dies and now i am questioning all the AFR's that i was taking as rock solid. Oh well, time for an FJO and besides it will make datalogging much much easier.

i've only gotten to 225g/s which means i am way behind you guys power wise.

Tim wasn't able to run as much boost with the TMIC versus the FMIC and therefore you hp and tq numbers weren't as high.

here is an update almost a year later.

I just moved to AZ early this year and I had no choice but to get tuned on 91 octane.

With that being done and said.

here are videos of the vf23 taking me into the 12's

first pass 13.2 at 104mph with a 1.90 60ft some crazy wheel spin

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Y6pjd-keHg

second pass, 12.90 at 107mph flat foot shifting with 1.84 60ft a little bit of spinning still but not as bad.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgdZmJizkU4

not sure what power it is making right now since I had a tuner road tune it.

Good stuff guys, Ill be getting a tune with my 23 in the upcoming weeks.

Running Pink injectors, DWG DP with electric cutout, SPT intake, STi TMIC, and a few smaller things. Thinking about picking up a prodrive BCS before the tune, you guys think its worth it?

quick tangent question if anyone can answer for me.

if I have a prodrive ebcs, there is no need to upgrade the stock wastegate actuator? or would I still benefit from one.

thanks

12.3 is insane! i want to get this turbo there since i have a decent speed trap. i think my 6spd just sucks at the drag strip. or i just might suck at driving

I just noticed I typed 12.3 I meant 13.3 sorry My car sounds like a 03 cobra's super charger going down the track on sunday when I ran those times. I was only running 15-16psi on the track, But I have been normally running 18 then backs down to 16, today when recharging my ac I found the source of the problem... BOV gasket only had 1 bolt through the holes so boost leak.

I may run again tomorrow to see if it improves any. Im going to get the car on the dyno when I get a chance Ive been busy with other peoples cars. so EWG, Meth. tune. Hopefully low 12's...maybe better. Then swap the motor for the 2.2

Man, I need to get going on my VF23 which I bought May of last year. It's just sitting in the Garage for a year now. I just don't have the time for the install and the money for a tune. lol Maybe this summer.

Since this thread is back from the dead, I'll add in my mods.
Car is currently tuned for stock parts, minus a few addons. Tuned at Agile.

What I have sitting in the garage, waiting for a good weekend to install:

vf23
850cc injectors
ported and polished stock headers and up pipe
Walbro fuel pump
stp catted exhaust
TGV deletes
phenolic spacers
ported intake mani
AWIC (installed now, just not tuned)
Trans: stock casing with LGT gears and 4.11 final drive, 01 RS rear diff
Driveshaftshop Alum driveshaft

Agile has a Dynapack, so I'm hoping for around 275whp on 93 octane. But, the oversized injectors are there because a local gas station has E85. I'm hoping for around 300-315whp on that. I'll post up as things get going.

I need to get mine tuned... and I'm glad you're hitting peak at about 4k with the front mount, I thought something was wrong when I read it should hit peak at 3200
