Default Worst comes to worst...

try PDXTuning in Oregon...in Honolulu, (like Anchorage), we have no awd dyno's...I visited PDXtuning.com and put in some mod info...and for $150...was sent a bunch of Cobb AP Protune maps...with my GT Spec V2 Header/APS 3.5" tbe/drop in K&N...I have 290whp to my wheels with 320ftlbs of torque...HUUUUGe difference from the canned AP maps...my 04 Sti pulls hard from start to finish...total proponent of these guys...

They also do UTEC..Tim Bailey is the main tuner...give them a call...

yeah...I moved to Hawaii from Anchorage 3 years ago...know a quite a few guys there due to my prior occupation as a teacher at West HS...

In Hawaii, we hang out at I-Club primarily...but come here for technical info also...

Default Is there a reason

why alot of AK members are going with UTEC?

Just curious...

I know quite a few guys here that use Cobb's AP...get Protunes and some purchased the StreetTuner upgrade...I do know some with the UTEC and ECUTek though...

Quite frankly, I was getting bummed out about Cobb's generic maps till I ran into PDXTuning...now I feel confident I can get a real "custom" map with any major mods that I do...

I am considering the Perrin FMIC/Short Ram right now in anticipation of installing the GT35R Perrrin kit next year...no worries anymore now that I know I can get a safe map from these guys...

What's cool about the Cobb is that we can just plug a laptop into the OBDII port and using free software datalog...send this in to PDXTuning and they can refine the already custom tune...very cool.
