that's not too time consuming since during rev-match you already are waiting in neutral for the rpms to kick up so you can engage the next lower gear smoothly.
sounds like you're rev-matching wrong, unless you're talking about not using your clutch at all.

when I rev-match downshift it's clutch in with revs up as shifter goes into new gear, clutch out. if done right you shouldn't even feel the shift, you should just be at a higher perfectly on my motorcycle too.
