I bought a " NEW" Bosch water pump at PepBoys for 49.95 and an OEM belt for $69.95 or 59.95 and did the job myself with the help of a friend (who has a better back than mine). I also carefully checked all the idlers, oil pump and seals for leakage. I replaced the thermostate, coolant hoses and drive belts at the same time. Pretty much what I have done.
The Bosch water pump is fine after a year and ~20K miles.
I figure it is about 2 hours work for the whole thing. Add in a front crank seal while doing it and check the cam seals before starting.
