Do i need a lil more elbow grease? BTW this hole for the plug is in the front door 97 outback. its the one thats hidden by the dash when you close the door. Does anyone know what to do or have a diagram? Because my door is half falling off
Your door shouldn't be half-falling off without this piece. It's almost an extra. It looks like a flat grey circle with a post and a little ball on the end of the post. The plug you were given *might* be one of the ones that slips into a cutout on the UNDERSIDE of the door, which then snaps into the door frame. Make sure, btw, that all those clips are snapped in place, and make sure your window ledge is correctly placed between the halves of the door frame. Those underside door clips run about every 12" around the outside edge of the door, except the window sill and that one spot in front where you're missing the plug.
