You sound like my wife and I. After a couple of thorough test drives, the positives, for our current needs, far outweighed the few minor negatives (rear vis, not as fast as previous subs). Our WRXs and our XT fulfilled their purposes and the B9, so far, fulfills its purpose for us.
Mike is correct about the limited rear visibility. We noticed that on our test drives and it still isn't a big issue for us.
We expected lower mileage for this heavier vehicle. It has improved from 16 to 19.5 in mixed driving.
Like you, we really enjoy the attractive, rich looking comfortable, large interior. We also continue to like the quiet, smooth, stable drive in high winds and inclimate weather. If we drove in a lot of snow and ice, we would still go to winter tires, which we have on our Jeep.
