I would think that if this were related to the incline, that BOTH tires on that side would be low on air. If this is just the rear tire, it makes even less sense as there is more weight up front.

I've had phantom air leaks as well, I picked up a nail in an old car and even though a shop patched it, it still leaked air. Until I put a bottle of runflat sealant into the tire
