I switched from RE92's to these 6k miles ago, needless to say these tires are a Godsend. Initial impressions (after first 200 miles brushing) is they grip extremely well in most conditions. Wet grip is phenomenal minus polished/tar surfaces, dry grip is astounding versus most road tires, and even the dirt/gravel grip surprised me, all categories BETTER than the RE92's as expected. The tire resists hydroplaning very well, much better than the 92's again. As far as wear: so far I have 6k miles and I forecast 25k-30k miles at this wear rate. I have driven them hard a few times, so I am very pleased with the wear so far. Tires have been rotated at 4,000 miles and pressure is kept at 40 lbs. all around.
Bottom line: The Hankook Ventus RS2's are an excellent replacement tire for the Stock RE92's if you are going for a summer performance tire. At 97$ a tire, these have made me more than happy. I'll of course update when my tires are dead, but if I get a winter set, I foresee me getting 2 Summer/Fall seasons out of each set.
