OMESH and TStoWRX, I was in the same situation a little while ago. While I live in SoCal, and have been garaging the car at night, the difference with Zaino is incredible! I bought the car in March, and just Zaino'd it about three weeks ago. Here was my process:

Dawn wash
Clay Bar
Wash with Z7 soap
Z2 with ZFX 'wax'
Z2 with ZFX 'wax

At the time my car sounds like yours, the water still beading up from the initial dealer prep. Now for what I experienced, after the clay bar, the surface was very slick, dragging your fingers before clay, the surface was kind of grabby, lot of friction. After the clay the surface was smooth glass, a lot less friction, felt incredibly slick. After applying Z2, well let me tell you I have not, nor has anyone else who has touched the car felt anything like it before. I have never felt anything this smooth and friction-less in my life (expect for a new oiled bearing, but left the oil on the my fingers). It is like the paint has been coated in this clear and very slick plastic. I have the WR Pearl Blue, so I didn't notice much of an improvement in the shine of the paint as a number of people have (I'm sure on an older car the result would be amazing, but new, it just keeps it looking new. I know this because I didnít wax the passenger side doors because they are getting re-painted soon). Now water is afraid to even stick to the surface. Road dust and dirt just wipe off, and bird droppings practically wipe off with a towel, even after they have dried for the whole day. The have only two words of caution about using Zaino, one is your wallet, and the other is never sit on you car or lean against it, you will only slide off and break an arm or leg . This stuff is truly amazing. So my bottom line to you is go ahead and Zaino your cars as soon as you can. There is no rush if your car is new, but once you switch you will be amazed at this product.

Last $.02: the initial 'waxing' took about 3 hours from start to finish, with a couple of breaks to let the Z2 dry. Now each time I wash the car it takes half as long as before Zaino, plus if I kept it cleaner, then I could probably just dust off the car, and apply the Z6 weekly to keep it up. The Z6 reminds me of Rain-X, even kind of smells like it, but it appears to be keeping up the finish.

Here is a good site (actually where I get my Zaino from, since they are local):
