Itís really a simple answer. If you have linoleum floors, would you just wax over the floor after cleaning it? You could, but after a while it looks like junk. You are just sealing in the old wax, and building up layers on top of it. If you strip, and then wax, you are starting with a "clean slate". This is why you want to strip, clay, and then wax. You are then protect your paint, and not bits and pieces of old yellowing wax (or in the case of Zaino, corrorided polymer)
