Well I'm pretty sure I'm going to need it done here pretty soon. I've only had the clutch slip on me 3 times, twice when starting off from a dead stop and the other when giving it about 30% throttle passing someone on the freeway.
The car has 86k on it, so it'd probably be a good idea even if it isn't happening constantly yet. I'm wondering if it's worth trying to do it myself in my drive way with hand tools (yes it sounds like a dumb idea to me too), or if anyone knows someone that can do it pretty cheap (like a side job of some sort). I can stand to have the car out of commission if needed, so it doesn't have to be done all in one day since I have a second vehicle.
Also with the mileage that is on it, would it be worthwhile to have the timing belt done at the same time (would it possibly save me any money on labor in the long run) ?
Anyway if anyone has some ideas let me know.
