You know, at around 120k miles (?..) or so.. I had to replace my radiator. Up until then I had been keeping check on my ATF fluid levels/smell/color by the sticj. It looked fine and smelled fine - like new!

Now, upon removing the radiator I had to disconnect the ATF cooler lines. When I did so, a brown icky sludge drooled out. Yuck!! Definitly not the same quality of liquid I was seeing on the stick.

Fluid + filter was promptly changed that week. Not flushed, only changed. If I had 60k miles or less and I had the extra cash I'd go through with a flush (flush will run you twice the amount in fluid costs, and they ain't cheap @ around $10 a quart! what is it - 8 quarts? 11? yeah. ouch)

Just some advice. My turbo'd 2.5l 4EAT tranny was fine before and after.

Personally I think you're going overboard. I'd consider changing them after 60k miles. Somewhere between 60-100k miles. But that's just me.
