I've had a few of those... its hard to tell by the picture exactly how much damage it is. It will take you a long time to get that out by hand, I use a polisher/buffer to get it out. Don't use a straight drive polisher that will burn the paint. I have a Porter Cable 7424 polisher and if you use the right products, you won't burn or add any scratches to the paint. From my own experience I have to say that the machine polish from works the best in getting the scratches out.
