Got the new Impreza 2.5i up to 30 mpg this morning on a run over to NJ - though that was only for a moment, though the whole drive before that it was easy to maintain 27-28 mpg (even on a bunch of back roads, but with light traffic).

Not bad for "break-in" - obviously the Impreza benefits from better aerodynamics and I would assume lower weight - might be a difference in gearing too, I should check that.
