High pitched, constant regardless of RPM, goes away when you depress the clutch? If so, from my research (because that is the description of the noise I get) it is the cluch fork ratteling against somthing and is due to the soft firewall flexing and warping over time. Taking mine in in a couple of weeks to check it out.

Transmission is still humming along just fine (32k), sounds like all of them are (with the exception of the guy with blown first, sucks man, sounds like it could have been a defect (I hope) and hopefully they will take care of you).

So, knock on wood but it sounds like they are holding up under power so far...

The stock LGT transmission shifts pretty good. Not as good as my rex with a short shifter and bushings...but good for a stock shifter. Definitely not as notchy as the rex. I can't bring my self to spring for the short shifter for my wifes LGT though.
