That's normal and happens on all generations of Subaru 5MTs. And when I say 'normal' I mean it just happens on most of them...not that it 'should' happen. Unfortunately, many people have had the dealerships check it out through the years, but no resolutions other than put up with it. If you synchronize your shift properly or egg shell it, it rarely, if ever will occur.
Agreed, I don't even have that problem anymore. I had it a lot when I shifted through the gears too fast without reving it up.
I just noticed the post at the top saying that he (Imprezzedwitsubies) has a different engament point on the clutch every time he shifts. That is a new one...I've never had that problem on any car...driver error?
