Default My STI swap into 02 Bugeye

Well to start off I'm a 22 y/o in the AF. I take pride in doing all my own work to my car.

I purchased the car a little over a year ago from another member here. I got it with all the stage 2 bolt ons. I got the car retuned when I got to california and made 224 whp and 234 wtq.

I had alot of fun with it at those power levels but I got used to it rather quick. So the hunt for more power began. I tossed the idea of just going to an 18g on the stock motor but I didn't want reliability to be a question. So that idea went out the window.

It came down to doing a swap. Either a USDM STI, a built hybrid or a JDM motor. I couldn't source out a totaled STI in my proce range so that went out the window. The hybrid ran about the same price as a swap but after hours of research I had my eyes set on getting a JDM motor for many reasons. 8k rev limit, incredable heads, and AVCS. I picked up my V7 EJ207 from Wali out of Import Racing Motors (great guy by the way) and all the extra parts (clutch, radiator, wiring harness etc..) over a few months. Well the car went down last monday and thursday mid day she was running with the V7 motor.

It was a big project to do mostly by myself but big thanks to my father (he owns an 02 WRX wagon haha but isnt a member here) for teaching me all I know about turning wrenches.

Now for some pictures. They are crappy cell phone pics that reflect my horrible photography skills but I was in my own little groove as I was working on the car.
