So i need to know what to tell the shop before i take a stock 08 2.5i manifold in for some simple hack work. The stock unit is 409 which makes sense b/c the Ti helps with corrosion resistance at the hi temps, but i keep hearing the desire to weld it with 410 filler. Now im no metallurgical expert but wouldn't 409 with a 430 filler be better?
Second where can I find 409 J or U bends in 409 and 1.625 or 1.75 O.D??? i would do this myself, however i moved away from all accessible tools and shops (swva) to Arlington.
Do exhaust shop around here stock 409? If you are in the DC/MD/VA and know a place that does or a guy that can tackle it let a brotha know. I can source the 409 or buy it.
