I've never liked canon, they put options that i use a lot burried in menus so i have to scroll through a bunch of stuff to set something that should have been on a button in the first place. Plus Canon has never got their battery issue/power consumption resolved, the last time i shot with a 1Ds mark iV i went through 2 batteries in a half day. I've rarely go through a battery in full day with a nikon. But Canon does make some good lenses and a ton of them. But any camera now days is 10x better than most people need so it really doesn't matter as long as you keep it in auto.
