A LED setup on that corner would be the ideal situation, but I didn't want to go to the trouble of installing relays to get them to work correctly. This was an easy solution that looks good enough.
FYI, you don't have to install relays to put in LEDs. Some people opt to replace their stock blinker relay with an electronic blinker relay (takes 5 minutes), or do what I'm doing which is install two 3 ohm 50 watt resistors in line with the rear turn signals (one for each side). Takes all of 10 minutes to install the resistors as they use vampire clips. Superlumination.com has them. The resistors are more reliable than the electronic relay. But either route is a fast install. Way less complex than this HID install.
BTW, HID install looks awesome. Thanks for posting this thread. I'm totally going to do this once I get $330.
