bottom line, subaru did a poor paint job on the subie.

but i have to agree with some of the comments on here, its driver error.
Just to be sure I took a look at all the photos I have of my other cars, the 2011 WRX's front bumper is just hanging out over the front wheels way too far and low. I bought the hatch to avoid this issue in the back, but I've been worried about the front end, and obviously for good reason. Going to have to get someone to spot me when I pull in and see how close its actually getting, but not much I can do about the driveway because of the sidewalk. I'd like to find a replaceable piece of carbon fiber to put under there, that would take the scuffs. Does the OEM SPT front lip piece offer any protection? Or is it hanging down even farther? I can't tell from the photos, and it might just get ripped off if its too flimsy. I just figured they must make some kind of protection for under there. Checked my Road and Track mag, there is an article with a silver STI at the "Isle of Madness" road race, wouldn't you know it....the brand new 2011 STI in the pictures has its front bumper held together with duct tape.....LOL

I'm a big fan of the black plastic pieces on the lower portion of a lot of cars out there, it offers protection and its easy to replace. It would have made a lot of sense on this car, why paint all the way down where rocks and sand are going to damage those pieces? I would think you would build the car to deal with off-road damage in mind. We don't all live in the city and pimp our cars out
