That doesn't make a lot of sense, the STi is the car you want to have on the track because it is faster, yet it can't keep up with the Evo on a canyon road? I'll still take the STi, even IF (a huge IF!!!!!) it doesn't handle as well. It is a lot easier and cheaper to improve handling than increase horsepower (won't kill your warrenty either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), not to mention NO LSD in the front of the Evo, no DCCD, and an interior which is far cheaper feeling AND looking in the EVO. You'd be better off having a LSD in the front of the EVO than in the rear. Speaking from experience, the first tight corner you come out of with your foot to the floor and the front inside tire putting on a nice rubber show, wondering why AWD doesn't feel like AWD for some reason. STi all the way!
