altough i agree with you on some points there are few things you are missing. the EVO tranny as been proven to be very strong and even some of the fastest cars in japan still use the stock tranny (bozz speed 600hp EVO VI). also, the crank walk issue is more than likely doesn't apply to the EVO since is has better internals and it wasn't a problem with any of the EVO's so far (previous JDM cars), it seems like the CW porblem was only in the eclipse which was not built in the same way like the EVO. also, keep in mind that the EVO motor is considered to be one of the best turbo motors EVER BUILT according to many big tuners in Japan and in the US (JUN,HKS,etc..)

don't get me wrong, i do love the STI and i do think it is a great car but i just think that the EVO is in the same league in most aspects and even better in some
