I did need to modify my Yakima bike rack because it did not fit far enough into the receiver before bottoming out.
After test driving, the crossbar on the hitch sits very close to the muffler. Under certain RPMS, the muffler resonates enough rub the crossbar making a horrible noise.

I tried loosening the bolts and pulling the hitch assembly towards the rear of the car. It didn't seem to move or fix the problem. I thought about grinding the holes out to allow it to slide back more but then it will hit the bumper facial.

Anyone else have this problem or suggestions?
