Afaik, for those identified areas to cause unwanted bright spots, the bulb placement is likely too far off center. Specifically, the bulb is probably tilted too high (facing forward). This means the hotspot (when viewing the projected beam on a wall) is far below the cutoff.

With the Mini D2S that I use, if I pull the connector that mates to the bulb down, the hotspot can move down a noticeable amount. Try to see if the hotspot on yours also move, and see if the unwanted bright spot disappear once the hotspot is vertically dead center (wrt the cutoff).
