If anything happens to your engine because of the excessive oil consumption and you are following the service guidelines your car must be repaired.
The next time your dealer tells you this story tell them to show you where the owners manual says it. They'll probably tell you that it doesn't and that the procedure is "their recommendation" and if they do you need to stand up for yourself and tell them that you will call them to check your oil when you fill up.
Ummm.... Actually the manual says to check your oil every other fillup. And, I know what the dealer says isant gospel, but felt I'd share my experience so other owners with problems can know what different entities involved are saying.
Some of you seem to have ego problems, as though my complaints about my car are insults to you personally. if you're happy with your car, great. I want to be. But when problems like I've been having arise, its hard to not hate the damned thing.
