Yes, please guys. If youre car is under warranty this should be youre first place to have it diagnosed. You can always post up problems with youre cars and relay to other member what the repair was. Some of these threads about bran new cars are just ridiculous, take it back and have it looked at. Dont rely on the forums to fix youre new car that has a damn warranty.
Now with that said, Im surprised they said there is nothing they can do. If the tech called Subaru tech line or his field service engineer they could help you and the tech. They will usually authorize the replacement of some sort of part (s). Until it is fixed so they can find a solution to this problem as it may become more prevalent. With what they told you, the tech is being lazy..... and doesnt want to deal with it. Call a different dealer or SOA, if you call SOA and really bitch about it they will make sure someone who knows what they are doing gets to it. Here is the other thing, you have 2k miles left of warranty, but because this was an existing problem that has never been fixed there is an acception to the rule here. They should continue to warranty parts related to the issue because it is "on going". Dont wait 8 months for them to fix it, but keep going to them often till it is fixed. Just simply demand it gets fixed, leave it there till it is fixed and tell them its going to stay there till it is.
