Any idiot can rewire an ignition switch to feed the starter relay directly. You didn't read my post. The OP will be removing the entire LGT ECU and cluster. That makes for an easy swap, great. Before he said that was his route, I stated the solution to how a swapper can retain the OEM cluster on an LGT. Good luck getting the LGT cluster to do anything other than sit inactive without going through the exact steps I outlined. You can feed it whatever you want, but without completing the steps I outlined, dead cluster. I'm friends with the guy who did the GM V6 swap that kept AWD. Been over this problem a dozen times.
Will be cool to have a V8 LGT in the USA. Been a long time since the last LGT V8, and that guy posted almost no technical info. I think he had a shop do the swap for him.
