If you aren't digging in to the motor, then what is your definition of "heavily modified"? A bunch of bolt ons?

I've had a vf34 set up on my car for over 90k miles with no issues or maintenance that's any different than a stock car. Well, 3rd gear broke but that may have happened with a stock turbo too. I've done a good amount of suspension work, put on 06 WRX brakes, track and autox the car.

I don't consider my car necessarily heavily modified. From someone driving a bone stock WRX it probably sure is, but someone with a forged internals, huge turbo, coil overs, roll cage, DOT tires, meth tuned STI would see it differently.

Why don't you tell us your plans for the car and people with those mods can give you a run down on their cars reliability.
