Swappin my Ej20(stock except for ACL rod & main bearings) for a built '04 EJ257 long block.. fresh bore/hone, manley rods, wiseco pistons 8.9:1 CR / 100mm, stock '04 EJ257 heads & cam gears. Not running AVCS.. utilizing ej20 manifold harness/ecu.. Currently im running a Cobb catless VF39 tune, with STi pink injectors, and VF39 turbo. Supporting mods, TGV deleted, oem 2004 STi cat back, 3" catless invidia DP, perrin catless UP, Perrin turbo inlet, AEM short Ram, step colder NGK plugs etc..
Question.. Can I get a tune from COBB that will compensate for the larger displacement still using my ej20 ecu or do I have to open source/etune or smthn.
Also, what clutch setups are people runnin on EJ257 swaps still using the 5spd wrx trans..? Was gonna replace the whole thing with an exedy kit & flywheel.. THis is my daily driver so I dont need anything crazy but a little extra holding capabilty is always nice.
