And that story about the customer bitching me out because their new car had the TPMS light come on, isn't about ONE customer.
It was a nonstop flow of morons. We kept a 7 gallon portable tank and a couple tire pressure gauges up at the service counter so we could just go check it and send the customer on their way.
Every once in a while you would get some douche who despite you laying it out to them in friendly words, explained in a way even a 3rd grader would understand, still demanded that we have a tech look it over since OBVIOUSLY there was something wrong. Not a problem. Car gets pulled around back and parked. The more of a hurry the customer seemed to be in, the longer we let it sit. If they were genuinely concerned, and just wanted the best for their car, we would pull it in, put it up on a lift and give the tires a good once over just to make sure there weren't any nails or anything (even though we knew there weren't). But if they were an ass about it, we were as well. (but we smiled the whole time and held their balls to make them feel special)
