You said the lights dim when you try to crank, but nothing happens? That makes it sound like the starter motor is drawing current, but not spinning. If the starter is drawing current, you can eliminate the ECU, clutch switch, etc., because the ECU is trying to turn the engine over. Can you spin the engine by hand with a breaker on the crank pulley? What you've described makes it sound like a seized motor.
