A local vendor had concerns about the 15" fitting due to caliper clearance. But again, aren't the base model wheels 15" steel? They don't change brake configurations between trim levels do they?
Also thinking of going with the 195/55-15.
As I went through the same exercise for my 2012 Impreza, here's info on the base model's Tire Rack recommended winter wheel/tire package. 15's! I instead went with XI2's, see my post above for specifics. Good luck.
