I only said "maybe 90" to give myself a margin of error. The fastest I ever remember going is 85. It's also helpful to remember that nothing is linear as far as the effects of speed go. For example, it would take over 100ft more to stop a car traveling at 100mph than at 90mph. It would take just under 100ft more to stop a car traveling at 90mph than at 80mph. I would take about 75 ft more to stop a car traveling at 80mph than at 70mph. About 50 ft more to stop a car traveling at 40mph than 30mph. I'm too stupid to do this kind of math, see it here...

My point is that 90mph really isn't "almost" 100. As speeds increase, these 10mph differences are worked on increasingly harshly by physics.

Edit: FWIW, the stopping distance for 130-0 is about twice that of 90-0.
