‘Building the Circuit of The Americas’ features the story of how Formula 1™ came to Texas

AUSTIN, Texas (Nov. 10, 2012) – Circuit of The Americas, the new purpose-built Grand Prix facility that will host the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX Nov. 16-18, will be featured during a special 30-minute program on the SPEED television network Sunday, Nov. 11, at 5 p.m. CST.

“Building the Circuit of The Americas” will focus on the origins of the multi-purpose sports and entertainment complex and the journey its founders took to bring Formula 1 racing back to the United States after a five-year hiatus. The program, hosted by SPEED motorsports commentator Bob Varsha, is part of SPEED’s enhanced coverage of the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATED GRAND PRIX. SPEED’s line-up for Grand Prix week coverage is as follows:

Sunday, Nov. 11
Building the Circuit of The Americas: F1’s Return to the U.S. (5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.)

Friday, Nov. 16
Practice Session One (9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., LIVE)
