I installed mine about a year ago without any specialized tools or jacking up the car or ramps or removing any wheels. If you want an excuse to buy some more tools that's fine, but none of that stuff's necessary for the install. I also found the video instructions easy to follow and very helpful. It's a great learning experience if you're just starting to mess with your car, just take your time.
