Since it is plausible that the ECM lost the fob programming during the battery install I figured, sure... Let's have a look.
I didn't even make it out the door of the shop. I pressed the lock and unlock buttons on the fob and watched the lights on the car blink. Turned and looked at my boss and said, Huh... imagine that!
Then handed him back the keys and walked away.
Customer: "Oh! Is that what those buttons are for?"
You probably didn't hear her ask that.
