If the oil filter is what you are concerned with, then I'll bite....but as for the oil itself, why do you need to change oil sooner that you are essentially cleaning yourself by putting in new oil or at least making it last a bit longer. Imagine you needed to refill 1 quart every 1k. So you put in 5 new quarts of just changed your oil basically.
Sediment in the bottom of the oil can build up quicker than you think. Remember when you read your dipstick you are reading the top layer of oil.

I would change the frequency of oil changes so that i wouldnt have to put a quart or more if that was me.
