I'm running some cadence components, it's some of their older line. Silk tweeters, aluminum cone, neodymium magnets, external crossovers.... Real nice setup, the tweeters aren't harsh, but they are crisp and do shimmer. The woofers have a good amount of excursion and reproduce music accurately down to about 40-45hz. I'm thoroughly pleased with them!
You, sir, sound like you have a good grasp on what quality sounding music is! I'll look into some older MB Quarts, though I think I'd much rather go with something newer. I guess if I heard them and liked them enough it wouldn't be a problem, but I'm trying to decide between the Focals and JLs. Time will tell.

It's interesting that you say that. I've been thoroughly impressed with the C5 series from JL, though the Focals [at their price] look like they're going to be hard to beat. Maybe I'll do the Focals and invest in a head unit and some rear coaxials or something just for the complete package at once... Again, time will tell.

Thought of doing this, though I think I'd much rather just have a plug and play system rather than trying to piece together some of them. Audio is not my forte, just looking for something that's going to give me good, quality sounding music, regardless of genre.
